New Mercado District residents will be welcomed by the Menlo Park neighbors who live in the surrounding historic residential neighborhood. The Menlo Park Neighborhood Association strongly supports the development of the Mercado District. The rich culture of Menlo Park and its people, many of whom are the four or fifth generation of their family to live in the neighborhood, will imbue the Mercado District with deeply rooted social traditions and holiday celebrations from the moment the first resident moves in.
